Mechanics Place Second at Highlander Invitational
LANGHORNE, Pa. - Chase Ely won his second race of the season and the Williamson College of the Trades cross country team placed second overall at the Highlander Invitational on Saturday morning.
Ely crossed the finish line in a time of 27:32.4, besting the 135 runner field by more than 40 seconds. Three more Mechanics placed in the top-20. Bryan Hernandez was ninth with a time of 29:48.7. Conan DeBruyn and Joseph Gambrill were 17th and 19th, clocking in at 31:22.3 and 31:41.5, respectively.
As a unit, WT finished second in the 20 team field.
The Mechanics are back in action next Saturday, October 11, running in the St. Claire Memorial at Belmont Plateau.
