JACKSON, N.J. - The Williamson College of the Trades football team kicked off its season with a defensive tussle on Saturday with the Mechanics being downed by the New Jersey Warriors 14-2.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The defense played really well as a unit, limiting the Warriors' offense throughout the contest. The young offense struggled to gain much traction but did have some signs of success here and there.
- Dominick Gallo, Derek Burke and Logan Peck each recorded a sack for Williamson.
- The Mechanics got on the board thanks to special teams and the defense. Carson Steinruck delivered a booming punt that was downed on the goal line. The defense stopped a run for a safety on the next play.
