Four Soccer Players Named to 2025 USCAA National All-Academic Team
Four Williamson College of the Trades soccer players have been named to the 2025 United States Collegiate Athletic Association Fall National Academic team. Seniors James Bryan, Gashaw Young and Rob Wagner, along with junior Marco Karasavas were all named to the squad.
In order to be considered for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must be a starter or significantly contribute to his team's success, as well as maintain an overall Grade Point Average of 3.50 or better.
"It isn't easy being a student-athlete at Williamson," shared Williamson Director of Athletics Susan Moffitt. "Our guys have a long day of classes and then have to hit the practice field. They also have to give a lot of their weekends. For our guys to achieve this award is a real tribute to them and we could not be prouder of them."
For Karasavas, the award caps off a brilliant second season, as he was named a first team Eastern States Athletic Conference member and then was named to the 2025 USCAA All-American team, in addition to this honor.
The honor for Wagner is the third time for him as he was named to the All Nation Academic team in the Fall last year for soccer and in the Spring for lacrosse. It was the first time earning such an honor for Bryan and Young.
