MEDIA, Pa. - The Williamson College of the Trades basketball team rallied from a double-digit halftime deficit, but were unable claw all the way back as the Mechanics fell to Luzerne County Community College on Saturday afternoon, 80-73.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Taj Combs led WT wirh 24 points, connecting on 11 free throws.
- A'Jaad White posted a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
- Misael Santana scored 14. Ronald Johnson netted 12 and had eight boards.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 43-30 two-and-a-half minutes into the second half, the Mechanics came alive.
- Beginning with a free throw from Liam Rardin, Williamson went on am 8-0 run in less than three minutes, slicing the lead to 43-38.
- Continuing to battle, the Mechanics got things to 48-44 on a Johnson jumper with 11:09 to play, however Luzerne was able to hold on down the stretch.

Williamson remains at home, taking on Penn State Mont Alto on Wednesaday, November 12. Tipoff from the Restall Sports Center is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
