ROSLYN, Pa. - Early offense and strong pitching in game one and solid bullpen work in game two helped the Williamson College of the Trades baseball team to a doubleheader sweep on Friday, winning by scores of 13-0 and 5-4.
BY THE NUMBERS IN GAME ONE
- Daniel Gross had one of his best games of the season, with a complete game shutout effort. He struck out seven and did not walk a batter in the opener.
- Cole Locklear went 3-for-4 at the plate with five RBI and two stolen bases in the opener.
- Phil Martini was a double shy of the cycle, going 3-for-4.
- Zachary Ladislaw went 2-for-2 with a walk, three runs scored and five stolen bases.
BY THE NUMBERS IN GAME TWO
- Michael Krakovitz went 2-for-3 with a double, a homerun and two RBI.
- Gross had an RBI and a run scored.
- Coming out of the bullpen, Martini tossed 3.1 scoreless innings, striking out three.
- Ladislaw got the save with two shutout innings.
