Baseball Has Three Named All-ESAC
NEWTOWN, Pa. - Three members of the Williamson College of the Trades baseball team were chosen as All-Eastern States Athletic Conference as Michael Sheller was selected to the First Team while Zachary Ladislaw and Daniel Gross were named to the Second Team.
Sheller was honored for a season where he hit .450, while scoring 15 runs and stealing 14 bases. His best game of the season was a 5-for-5 performance against Patrick Henry on April 11 where he had a double, scored five times and drove in two runs along with an eye-popping seven steals as the Mechanics rallied from five runs down to win 10-9 in extra innings.
Ladislaw hit .393 with a homer and 19 RBI. He scored 16 runs and stole 11 bases. From April 8-20, he had a hit in eight of nine games, batting .481 (13-for-27) with 13 RBI.
Gross hit .328 with 12 RBI and 14 runs scored. He started the year with a flourish, getting hits in eight of his first 10 games of the season, including a March 21 doubleheader against Patrick Henry where he combined to go 5-for-6 with three RBI and five runs scored. On the mound, he led WT with 38.1 innings pitched and 35 strikeouts.
